Depend on your flight, you can go at same days as you arrive in Sorong. Airport to ferry port (Pelabuhan Rakyat) is about 15-20 minutes by taxi.
The nearest airport to Raja Ampat Islands is Sorong (SOQ). Local Ferry Indonesia operates a ferry from Sorong to Waisai twice daily. Tickets cost $9 - $17 and the journey takes 2h.
